Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over, and showing you how to install, the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver here on a 2021 Subaru Ascent. So, the nice thing about the Draw-Tite hitch, is that it's actually hidden behind our factory knockout panel. Therefore, when we're not using the hitch, we get a completely factory-like installation. But, when we're ready to use it, it's super simple to remove this panel here. We're gonna have a push pin fastener on the bottom of each side. We'll take a pry tool, pry the center out, then pull it the rest of the way out. more

Ryan: Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2020 Subaru Ascent, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the EcoHitch class three trailer hitch receiver. So, the best part about this hitch is that it's going to sit behind our bumper. That way, whenever you're not using it, it can remain completely hidden, and that's because we're going to have an access panel that you can simply just put back in place and maintain that factory look. Most of our Ascent customers use our Subarus to do a little bit of everything, which not only includes towing, but also carrying hitch-mounted accessories. Well, this is going to be a good all around hitch for that, and that's for a couple of different reasons. Since it does sit behind our bumper, that's going to bring it up off the ground more, so it's going to give us a really good ground clearance, and it's going to give us good bumper clearance. So, what I mean by that is, the end of the receiver tube, even though it is hidden, it's going to be pretty much flush here with the edge of our bumper, so that's going to give us more than enough space to use any folding accessories that we might have without having to worry about them contacting the back of our car.And for those of you that do plan on doing quite a bit of towing, this hitch is going to be set up really good for that. more

Ryan: Hey everybody. Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the etrailer.com Class Three, two inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. Many of our Subaru customers use their Outbacks to do a little bit of everything, whether it be pulling a trailer, using an accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier. This is going to give us a connection point to be able to get the job done and not to mention, since we'll have an opportunity to carry our accessory back here, we're going to have space up top freed up that way we're still able to use any rooftop accessories. One of the things I like about this hitch is that it's going to sit back a little bit behind our bumper and it's going to have a carbide matte black finish, so it's really going to blend in nicely on the back of our Subaru. It's also going to give us some really good clearance and so, what I mean by that is the end of the receiver tube is going to be just about even with our back bumper, so this should work out really well for any folding accessories like a bike rack or a cargo carrier for example. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Subaru Forester

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer today on our 2020 Subaru Forester, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class three, two inch trailer hitch receiver. In my opinion, this is going to be a great all around hitch. Not only is it going to look pretty good, but it's also going to be really easy to use. The end of the receiver tube is going to sit just behind our bumper and give us plenty of clearance for many different types of accessories. And since there's nothing really here, interfering with the hitch, it's going to be really easy to get your pin and clip in as well as hook on your safety chains. Now, as far as looks go compared to some of the other hitches, this one is going to be a little bit more visible, but since the cross tube does sit pretty far back and it is going to blend in really nice. You're really not going to notice it, especially when the car is sitting on the ground. more

Ryan: Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. today on our 2020 Subaru Forester, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CURT class two trailer hitch receiver. In my opinion, this hitch is going to be a great choice for you if you plan on only using inch and a quarter accessories, or especially if you already have them. And since it is more of a low profile design, it is going to be less visible and in my opinion look pretty good on the back of the Subaru. So this is going to be a class two hitch so it's going to have that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, and a reinforced collar for some extra strength. Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Subaru Ascent

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2020 Subaru Ascent, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver. So this is what your hitch is going to look like installed whenever you're not using it, which is perfect. Everything's nice and hidden. But whenever you are ready to use it, this center panel here will be easily removed. Going to be a couple of clips down at the bottom of it, see how those removed, and simply pop this off out of the way, and now you'll have full access to be able to use your hitch for towing a trailer, or even your accessories. That's my favorite thing about this hitch: it's going to be nice and hidden when you want it to be, but whenever we need it to use it, we're not going to have to sacrifice any functionality or ease of use.And what I mean by that is a couple of different things. more

etrailer Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon

Hi there, Subaru owners. Today, in your 2014 Subaru Outback wagon, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install etrailer.com's two inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. Our cross tube is going to be visible down beneath our bumper, but it's tucked back nicely so it doesn't really detract from the looks of the vehicle too much. I actually liked the way that our receiver here fits into the cutout on our bumper, and it almost looks like it was supposed to be that way from the factory. It's a class two, two inch receiver, so it's going to be great for all of your towing needs. Whether you want to put a bike rack in it and load it up with a bunch of bikes, or if you want to bring a pop-up camper with you for the weekend, you should be able to do so with this hitch. This hitch uses a five-eighths inch hitch pin and clip. Now, one does come included with our hitch, but we have plenty here at etrailer.com that you can pick up. more

It's a Class II one and a quarter by one and a quarter inch receiver, so it's going to be great for all of your light duty applications. EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Installation - 2020 Subaru Forester

Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at eTrailer.com. Today on our 2020 Subaru Forester, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the eco hitch hidden trailer hitch receiver. Now the main thing that separates this hitch from some of the others is that it's going to be completely hidden. The only thing you're going to be able to see is the receiver tube opening and your safety chain plates. Now in my opinion, that's a big advantage because you're going to be able to maintain that factory look and you're not going to have to sacrifice the usability. It's going to give us really good clearance, especially for those folding accessories because the end of the receiver tube opening is going to sit pretty much flush with the edge of our bumper. more

Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrainer.com. Today on our 2020 Subaru Forester, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver. Right off the bat, this hitch is going to be a little bit visible, but in my opinion, it really doesn't look too bad, and kind of goes well and matches that Subaru image. Now, this is a class III hitch, so it's going to have that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is really going to give us a ton of different options, as far as what we want to do with it. So whether you're pulling a trailer, putting in a cargo carrier or even using it for those accessories like a bike rack, this is going to get the job done and work really well. And as a bonus, it's going to give us some pretty good clearance too. The end of the receiver tube, it's going to sit just behind the bumper, so that's going to be perfect for those folding accessories. We're going to have a reinforced collar here for extra strength, and it's also going to have these standard sized 5/8ths pin hole. more

However, I did want to bring the CURT out and talk a little bit about it, because this could potentially be the right choice for you.The biggest difference I noticed between the two hitches is in the appearance. The CURT is going to have a little more of a gloss or shiny finish, while the Draw-Tite is going to have a little more of a flat or matte finish. more

How's it going, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Subaru Forester, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the CURT inch and a quarter trailer hitch receiver.Right off the bat, in comparison to some of the other hitches available, this one is going to be a little more hidden because of its low profile design. That's because the hitch is a class two, so it's going to have that inch and a quarter, by inch and a quarter receiver tube, it would be a little bit smaller than those two inch hitches. So it's going to work perfect for those hitch-mounted accessories, especially those bike racks. I really like the look of the reinforced collar and it's also going to provide us with a little more strength. It is going to have a half inch size pin hole. more

How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com, today on our 2017 Subaru Crosstrek, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the etrailer.com, Class 3, Two-inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. Now compared to some of the other hitches available, this one is going to be a little bit more visible, but in my opinion, it looks pretty good on the back of our Subaru. It's going to match the body lines nicely and almost look like it belongs. And there is an upside to that visibility, that's going to be how easy it is to use since everything is in the open, it's going to be really easy to get all of our accessories connected and disconnected. Another thing, I noticed, is that our hitch is going to give us some really good clearance. And what I mean by that is the end of our receiver tube is actually going to stick out just a little bit past our bumper and that's going to be perfect, especially for those folding accessories.Another thing, that separates this hitch from some of the others is its finish, it's going to have a matte black, carbide powder coat finish, which is going to stay in really good shape, be scratch-resistant and it's also going to match our Subaru's trim package, almost spot on. more

EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon

Hi there, Outback owners. Today on our 2016 Subaru Outback wagon, we're going to be taking a look at EcoHitch's class two one and a quarter inch trailer hitch receiver and what I really like about this hitch in comparison with others is that it's environmentally friendly because the entire thing is constructed of recycled steel. So the whole process is going to be greener than any of the other hitch manufacturers out there. Beyond it's eco friendly design, it's also going to be great for hauling bikes. A bike rack could easily fit in here with a 350 pound tongue weight on our hitch. You could easily load up four bikes on it. more

Whether you're going to be throwing a cargo carrier on the back to help free up some space inside the vehicle for more passengers or cargo, or if you want to throw a bike rack on the back instead of getting a roof rack mounted version, which can be a little more cumbersome and difficult to get your bikes up on the roof, versus a much lower and easier to access hitch mounted bike rack. Could also throw a draw bar in there and do some light towing with it as well.It uses a 5/8 inch hitch pin and clip. more
